CONDITIONER

Never use conditioner directly on the silk or lace top area, only on the lengths/ends, not on the silk or lace top/root area. ! Less is more, go easy on hair products, to much creates a buildup and can make it greasy, tangled and frizzy.

Moroccanoil Treatment make sure to use only a drop or two on mid-length to ends, not on the silk or lace top/root area. The smallest bottle will defintely do for a year (or more).

TOOLS

For silk top:
I usually straigten my hairpiece first with a straightening iron. If I want to go for a more soft curl/beach wave look, I curl it with a 38mm curling iron (away from the face) and go over it to soften the curls with the Revlon One Step Volumizer or similar.
For lace top:
​Knot concealing
When the knots are visible, you can use scar tape on the inside of the cap. This prevents you bio-hair shining through the lace. A skin colored silk fabric on the inside helps too.
Also concealing the knots with a small make up pencil and some eye conceiler in the right skin tone can help to disguise the knots.

Styling
The best way to ensure that your style lays as flat as possible and to tame those frontal fly away hairs is with a electric hot comb. Try to purchase one with different heat settings so you don't have to use the hottest setting. Don’t hold the hot comb on the lace, only on the hair and never too long.
Rather go for volume? The Revlon salon One-Step hair Dryer and Volumizer does the magic for me. Other brands will do as well. Moisten the hair with, for example, a plant sprayer and blow dry it up/to the back.
